In a series of incidents at German border crossings, three individuals were recently stopped and fined for different offenses.

Last Saturday, on August 30th, 2025, a 45-year-old Algerian was apprehended at the motorway control point 'An der Neiße'. The Algerian had an arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Konstanz for illegal residence without the required residence permit.

On the same day, a 36-year-old Belarusian was stopped and checked at a separate motorway control point. The Belarusian had an offense under the compulsory insurance law. According to the Local Court of Bad Kreuznach, the Belarusian was supposed to pay a fine of 800.00 euros plus 273.97 euros in costs. After paying the outstanding amount, the Belarusian was able to continue his journey.

A day later, on Sunday, a 34-year-old Pole was detected at the border crossing in Bad Muskau. No information was provided about the 34-year-old Pole mentioned in the paragraph. However, it was later revealed that the Polish citizen had an outstanding fine of 120.00 euros (including costs). The Polish citizen paid his debt to the state treasury and continued his journey.

In another instance, an Algerian was fined for a similar offense. On Sunday, the Algerian was stopped at the motorway control point and was sentenced to a fine of 1200.00 euros plus 84.50 euros in costs. The Algerian paid the fine on the spot and continued his journey.

The head of the Federal Police Inspectorate Ludwigsdorf, Udo Witschas, was mentioned in the text in relation to these incidents. The incidents highlight the importance of complying with German laws, particularly those related to compulsory insurance and residence permits, to avoid fines and potential legal complications.
