Law enforcement officials carry out multiple arrests in Dresden, led by federal authorities
In a series of events on August 31, 2025, Dresden Central Station saw multiple arrests by the Federal Police.
The day began with the arrest of a 41-year-old German at 10:20 a.m. The individual was wanted on three outstanding arrest warrants, with one additional warrant issued by the city of Dresden due to a violation of the Narcotics Act. During the arrest, a bag containing a white, powdery substance was found on the individual. As a result, a criminal complaint was filed.
A few hours later, at 18:45 p.m., a 34-year-old Romanian citizen was stopped at the same station. The individual had an arrest warrant from the Bad Liebenwerda Local Court, and was taken into custody after an accompanying person paid a fine of 320 euros.
Late in the night, at around 2:45 a.m., a 32-year-old German was arrested near the main station. The man was wanted by the Saarbrücken Public Prosecutor's Office for theft, and was allowed to leave the station after an accompanying person paid a fine of 320 euros. As the man did not have enough cash, he was given the opportunity to withdraw cash at the station.
Another arrest was made on the same day, with federal police officers in Dresden apprehending a 30-year-old German. During the exit check at Dresden Airport, an arrest warrant from the Bad Liebenwerda Local Court was discovered against this individual. The individual was wanted by the Detmold Public Prosecutor's Office for theft.
In a separate incident, the man wanted for slander, who had avoided a 40-day custodial sentence by paying a fine of 1,200 euros, was also arrested on the same day. The exact time and location of this arrest are currently unknown.
Each of the arrested individuals was taken to the Dresden Prison following their arrests. The substances found on the individuals are under further investigation.
