Lawless Frontier emerged at Lake Constance
The annual fair in Friedrichshafen, known as "Americana," is a significant event for Western fans across Europe. Organised by the company Americana, this event takes place at the Messe Friedrichshafen and is Europe's largest Western and leisure riding event.
Over 300 exhibitors from 16 nations are participating in the fair, showcasing a wide range of Western-themed products. In addition to the exhibitors, 700 tons of sand, 100 tons of forest soil, and 40 tons of hay have been transported into the halls to create an authentic Western atmosphere.
Two additional attractions at the fair are the Truck Bar, run by Dirk Trautmann from Münster, and the saloon named "Yellowstone." These additions contribute to the Western-themed atmosphere without being part of the riding shows or animal exhibitions.
The fair attracts Western fans from all over Germany and is known as the "Americana" scene meeting. Visitors can expect to see cowboy hats, plaid shirts, and large belt buckles, all common attire at the event. The scent of horses is prevalent, adding to the authentic Western feel.
The highlight of the fair are the riding shows, featuring 460 horses and 650 cattle. With over 50,000 visitors expected during the fair's duration, these shows are a major draw. The fair is currently ongoing and will conclude on Sunday.
Dirk Trautmann, from Münster, operates the Truck Bar on the grounds of the fair. He expresses that the combination of Western culture and Lake Constance fits well together. In his opinion, Frankfurt with its skyscrapers would be less suitable for such a fair. A saloon named "Yellowstone" can also be found on the grounds.
The fair takes place at the second largest fairground in Baden-Württemberg and is considered one of the most important events for Western fans in Europe. Whether you're a fan of Western culture, horses, or just looking for a unique experience, the Friedrichshafen Fair is not to be missed.
