Leader of the local police station has been changed
New Leadership at Datteln Police Station
Esther Arnold-Strunz is set to make history as the first woman to lead a large deployment station in the Recklinghausen police headquarters area. She will be taking over from EPHK Hans-Peter Posch, who is retiring, and will commence her new role as the Chief of Datteln Police Station on May 1st.
Arnold-Strunz has a long and distinguished career in the police service, having joined in 1994. She has been serving at Recklinghausen police headquarters since 2003, with brief interruptions. Before her tenure in Recklinghausen, she served in Dortmund and later in Castrop-Rauxel. In Datteln, she previously held the positions of duty group leader and head of the district and focus service.
Police President Friederike Zurhausen commented on the change, stating that Arnold-Strunz has proven herself and can build on Posch's good work. She expressed her eagerness to return to Datteln and work with the local actors and city administration.
In her free time, Arnold-Strunz enjoys skiing, riding horses, or spending time in her garden. She is the mother of two children.
