Detmold's Heimat-Preis 2025 Open for Applications and Suggestions
The Heimat-Preis award in Detmold, an established recognition for volunteer work, is now accepting applications and suggestions for the year 2025. This prestigious award, initiated by the Ministry for Home Affairs, Local Government, Building and Equality of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2019, welcomes a wide range of projects and initiatives that strengthen local communities with passion and creativity.
The Heimat-Preis is not limited to a specific category. Projects, actions, or contributions that enhance community spirit, preserve cultural heritage, foster diversity, improve public spaces, or explore innovative approaches in areas like digitalization and sustainable mobility are all eligible. Previous winners have included notable efforts to preserve public parks, initiatives fostering social cohesion, sustainable thinking, and regular breakfast programs for singles.
Applications and suggestions can be sent directly or through third-party nominations. The initiative to organize the Heimat-Preis 2025 in Detmold has been taken by the Kreis Lippe, with the call for applications and theme announced on the Kreis Lippe website. Submissions can be made there, or sent to the city portal's volunteer office, Nora Moos and Kathrin Prill, or by email to ehrenamt@ourwebsite.
Rewards for the Heimat-Preis can range up to €5,000. The submissions for the Heimat-Preis 2025 will be evaluated by an internal jury from mid-August. The award ceremony for the Heimat-Preis 2025 will be held by the city portal's council.
