Library Introduces New Programme within its Premises

The Stadtbibliothek Gießen is gearing up for an exciting lineup of events this autumn. Here's a rundown of some of the highlights:

On October 24, the library will host Sacha Gutzeit for the second book of the children's crime series "The City-Country-Fluss Detectives - The Night of the Phantom". This event is part of the nationwide celebration of the "Day of Libraries".

For music lovers, Tess Wiley, a local Texan singer-songwriter, will perform on November 6 as part of the event series "Library's Stage". She will be accompanied by her guitarist Tim Potzas, promising a night of captivating music. Tess Wiley's latest release, "Femme Sole", has been praised as a powerful EP from a mature, independent, and versatile musician.

For those interested in literature, "The Magician" by Magdalena Parys will be held on October 30. This novel, translated by Lothar Quinckenstein from the Polish, was awarded the European Union Literature Prize in 2015. Tickets for this event are available from September 14th via the website of the Crime Festival Gießen.

Another literary event not to be missed is the presentation of Erwin Müller's true-crime novel "Death Transit - The Murder Case of Stippbach Valley" on November 20. This novel, based on a real, unsolved criminal case from 1981, intertwines fiction and reality, providing a thrilling insight into the case.

Unfortunately, the author performing on November 6 at the "Library's Stage" event series in Stadtbibliothek Gießen is not mentioned in the available search results. However, with such a diverse and exciting lineup, there's something for everyone at the Stadtbibliothek Gießen this autumn.
