Lidl reveals renovated supermarket in Baza
The Lidl store in the heart of Baza has undergone a significant transformation, expanding its size and enhancing the shopping experience for customers. The store, now located on the Avenida de Murcia, has grown from 1,286 square metres to a spacious 1,410 square metres, making it the largest Lidl store in the region.
The expansion has seen the addition of more fridges and fridge food items, providing a wider variety of fresh produce and chilled goods. To cater to the needs of clients in the hot climate, additional refrigerated sections for drinks have been included.
The refurbishment of the store has cost €2.3 million and has been designed with sustainability in mind. The Lidl brand in Baza is focusing on saving energy during its operations, aiming to be more eco-friendly and contribute positively to the environment.
As part of a larger plan to expand in the Almeria and Granada regions, the refurbished Lidl store in Baza is now offering a better grocery shopping experience while remaining an affordable option for customers. New offers are being presented, including special discounts and free items for purchases over €40.
The store will also stock a wider variety of items, including products from the Granada region such as Puleva dairy products, Alhambra beers, and Lanjarón water. This local focus is an effort to support regional producers and offer customers a taste of the area.
Despite the changes, the Lidl store in Baza continues to maintain a quality of service for its customers. The store currently employs 25 people and has made provisions for more parking spaces to accommodate the increased footfall.
Following its reopening, the store will offer exclusive deals for local clients, further enhancing its commitment to the community. The project manager for the renovation works is currently not publicly available. However, the expansion of the Lidl store in Baza is in line with the brand's goal to compete with other grocery stores, offering a compelling alternative for shoppers in the region.
