News Article: Youth Welfare Committee Elections in Arnsberg

The city of Arnsberg is preparing for the election of its Youth Welfare Committee, a group that will play a significant role in shaping the future of children and young people in the city. The deadline for submitting candidates for the committee is fast approaching, with October 6, 2025, set as the cut-off date.

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must meet certain criteria. They must be at least 18 years old and have resided in Arnsberg for a minimum of three months. Interested individuals can submit their applications to Frau Haase at s.haase@ourwebsite or Tel. 02932 - 201 1324.

The Department of Youth, School, Family, Social, Integration, and Health can also provide further information for those who wish to suggest a candidate and a personal deputy. Similarly, youth associations and free youth welfare carriers can submit their suggestions for the circle of voting members to the city administration.

The voting members of the Youth Welfare Committee will consist of council members, individuals with experience in youth welfare, representatives from youth associations, and recognised free youth welfare carriers operating in Arnsberg. Advisory members will include representatives from the police, the employment agency, and the family court.

Once the candidates have been submitted, the council will elect the members of the Youth Welfare Committee in its first session. After the election, the future members will have the power to participate in discussions and vote on the affairs of children and young people in Arnsberg.

However, there is currently no publicly available information on who will be elected as deputies in the Youth Welfare Committee or which youth organisations and independent youth welfare providers will make proposals for the voting members' round. The election of the Youth Welfare Committee members will occur after the suggestions have been submitted.

For more information, residents of Arnsberg can visit the city's website under "Official Announcements 2025". Those with questions about the eligibility criteria or the submission process can contact Frau Haase directly.

The decisions made by the Youth Welfare Committee will have a lasting impact on the city's youth during the next legislative period. It is, therefore, crucial that residents take an active interest in the election process and consider submitting their suggestions for candidates and deputies.
