Roewe, a Chinese automotive brand owned by SAIC Motor, is set to debut its latest electric vehicles (EVs) at the Beijing Auto Show later this month.
The star of the show will be the Roewe 350 E, a sleek and stylish EV that is rumoured to look particularly striking in white. This new addition to the Roewe family will be released silently in 2011.
The Roewe 350 E boasts a range of 200 km and a charging time of 6-8 hours. It's worth noting that its electric counterpart, either the Roewe 750 or 550, is also in development.
SAIC's Roewe D6 has already made waves in the EV sector, setting a new Guinness power consumption record for EVs in China. The company is also working on a full electric car with a top speed of 150km/h.
In addition to the Roewe 350 E, the affordable Roewe M7 PHEV will also be available for pre-sale. This plug-in hybrid vehicle has a starting price of 13,700 USD, making it an attractive option for environmentally-conscious consumers.
The Roewe D7 NEV sedan has already been launched in China with a starting price of 17,300 USD.
Environmental concerns are currently popular in China, with the country's growing awareness of the importance of sustainability driving the demand for EVs. However, there seems to be a lack of concern about the source of electricity for these vehicles.
It's clear that Roewe is committed to contributing to a greener future, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for us at the Beijing Auto Show. Stay tuned for more updates!
