Logistics and IT Cooperation Discussed by Paule Wandji of International Motors
Riad Mannan, senior content producer for Automotive Logistics, hosted a conversation with Paule Tchiegne Wandji, associate director of logistics COE process and governance at International Motors, at the Red Sofa during the Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Digital Strategies North America event.
Wandji discussed her approach to digital transformation, emphasizing the importance of strategic alignment, leadership commitments, and strong cultural advocacy as the first pillar. She also highlighted the significance of proactive stakeholder engagement, building a network of digital champions early to drive ownership and build trust, as the second pillar. The third pillar, according to Wandji, is continuous training and capability building, starting with the people rather than the tools.
Wandji warned against automating broken workflows and stressed the importance of trust and capability building. She believes that co-creation between logistics and IT will unlock real value and accelerate digital transformation. Wandji also emphasized the importance of effective change management, understanding the purpose of the transformation, and aligning it with business priorities.
The logistics control tower at International Motors, built on clear roles, standardized processes, and values-based performance metrics, is central to operational governance, providing real-time visibility and decision-making support. Wandji outlined three enablers for successful AI adoption: process readiness, people readiness, and ecosystem trust.
Other speakers at the event included Manoj Tiwary at Subaru Canada, Bosch's Chandan Trehan, Pirelli Tire's management systems, Accuride's Skotti Fietsam, and unspecified speakers from the Red Sofa. Amy Paulsen spoke on the Red Sofa about the importance of close collaboration between logistics and IT for successful digital transformation processes.
Wandji's closing thought was that success is not just an outcome, but a journey - achieving value, adapting quickly, and consistently realizing impact. She did not discuss any specific upcoming events or initiatives during the conversation. No new speakers were mentioned during the conversation with Wandji. The event discussed Digital Strategies North America 2025. The conversation took place at the Red Sofa, a popular feature of Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Digital Strategies events.
