DP World Opens New Warehouse in Middletown, Pennsylvania

DP World, a global logistics leader, has recently opened a new warehouse in Middletown, Pennsylvania. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to support various logistics needs, catering to business-to-business, direct-to-consumer, and e-commerce fulfillment.

The strategic location of the Middletown site ensures streamlined transportation routes, potentially shortening delivery times to major metropolitan areas across the region. The warehouse maintains direct truck and rail connectivity to both East and West Coast ports, making it an ideal hub for businesses looking to navigate modern supply chain complexities.

Glen Clark, CEO of DP World U.S. and Mexico, described the new facility as an important investment in both customers and communities. The warehouse, which was repurposed from a high-volume electronics distribution center, has been modernized with state-of-the-art logistics automation.

The new Middletown facility represents DP World's strategy to bring smarter, more sustainable logistics solutions closer to its customers in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The 249,600-square-foot multi-customer warehouse is a significant expansion of DP World's logistics offerings in the region.

In fact, DP World has consolidated two smaller sites into a single 554,000-square-foot operation in Middletown. Along with the existing facility, the new warehouse covers a total area of approximately 804,000 square feet in Middletown.

The warehouse is designed with small and mid-sized businesses in mind, offering a scalable solution for companies without dedicated infrastructure. The new facility provides full-service third-party logistics capabilities, positioning DP World as a key partner for businesses looking to meet consumer and regulatory expectations.

The new DP World warehouse in Middletown, Pennsylvania, is expected to handle over ten million inbound and outbound units annually. The facility will eventually employ up to 200 full-time staff, contributing to the local economy.

With this new addition, DP World continues its strategy to expand third-party logistics offerings in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The Middletown site is a significant step towards providing smarter, more sustainable logistics solutions to businesses in the region.
