Grey London to Merge with Social Media Agency Wildfire, Forming Grey Social

In an exciting development, Grey London is set to acquire and integrate social media agency Wildfire on June 1, creating a new entity named Grey Social.

The move comes after Grey took a minority share in Wildfire back in 2008, with their stake growing to a majority by 2011. The co-founder and former owner of Wildfire is Victoria Ransom, who established the agency before it was acquired by Google.

According to Laura Jordan Bambach, the president and chief creative officer, U.K. at Grey, the merger will allow Grey to "deliver ground-breaking work." Jordan Bambach, along with Asad Shaykh, will be one of the joint heads of strategy in Grey Social.

The new entity, Grey Social, will offer a wide range of services, including social insights, creative, and content production. Vikesh Amey-Bhatt has been appointed as the group creative director, while Olivia Clarkson will serve as the director of connected culture. Ivan Palmer will take on the role of the director of social development and innovation.

June 1 will mark a significant day for both Grey London and Wildfire as they join forces to create Grey Social. This merger is expected to strengthen Grey's position in the digital marketing industry and provide clients with innovative and effective social media solutions.
