Rhein-Neckar Löwen Secure Second Bundesliga Win Against GWD Minden

In a thrilling encounter at the PSD Bank Arena, the Rhein-Neckar Löwen emerged victorious against GWD Minden, securing their second win of the Bundesliga season. The final score was 28:24, with the home team showing their superior quality and stability throughout the match.

The first half saw the Löwen take a two-goal lead (15:13) at halftime, thanks to the solid centre block defence led by Halil Jaganjac. The defence, along with the goalkeeper David Späth, became increasingly impenetrable as the game progressed. Späth's stellar performance was highlighted by his 18 saves, which proved crucial in securing the victory.

David Moreau, on the offensive end, scored six goals for the Löwen, significantly contributing to their lead. Lukas Sandell and Dani Baijens also chipped in with five and four goals respectively. For GWD Minden, Antanavicius scored seven goals, while Korte and Staar netted four and three respectively.

The match started evenly, with both teams trading goals. It wasn't until the 15th minute that Coach Maik Machulla made substitutions, which led to a turnaround. The guests had a better start in the second half, with the score being 16:14, but the Löwen managed to turn the tide and pull ahead.

The attendance for the match was 5,020, with a total of 6 penalty minutes. The referees for the match were Sophia Janz and Rosana Sug, both from Cologne.

The Löwen's next match will be against HSV Hamburg on Sunday at 6 PM. The goalkeeper for HSV Hamburg, their upcoming opponent, is Mohamed El-Tayar. The Löwen will be aiming to continue their winning streak and maintain their position at the top of the Bundesliga table.
