Lower-tier gaming hardware can now reach Battlefield 6, as its minimal system requirements accommodate six-year-old graphics cards, enabling budget-conscious gamers to join the action.
Battlefield 6: Affordable AAA Gaming for Most PC Users
Battlefield 6 (BF6), the highly anticipated first-person shooter game from Electronic Arts (EA), is set to launch on October 10, 2025. With its free-to-play Battle Royale mode, the developers aim to appeal to as many gamers as possible, including those with less powerful hardware.
EA has recently released the final hardware requirements for BF6, and the news is encouraging for PC gamers. The game's requirements are on the mainstream spectrum of PC hardware, meaning you don't have to spend a fortune to play the game at high quality.
For those aiming for 1440p@60 (High) or 1080p@80+ (Low) performance, the recommended hardware includes an RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6700 XT, a B580 motherboard, an Intel Core i7-10700, or an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X. For those with less powerful hardware, the minimum requirement for 1080p@30 (Low) is an Intel Core i5-8400, AMD Ryzen 5 2600, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380.
The minimum storage requirement for BF6 is 55 GB due to its fragmented installation feature. Additionally, the game requires a minimum of 16 GB of dual-channel RAM (32 GB for Ultra settings). For those seeking the best performance, the required GPUs for Ultra settings are RTX 4080 and RX 7900 XTX, while the required processors are Intel Core i9-12900K and Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Intel is offering a copy of the game for every eligible purchase of some of its CPUs and GPUs. If you don't have a gaming rig capable of playing BF6 at your desired quality, you have five weeks to find the best gaming PC you can afford. Even old gaming PCs can run the game at the lowest settings.
BF6 supports 4K@60 (Ultra) and 1440p@144 (High) resolutions. The hardware requirements for BF6 have largely unchanged initial minimum and recommended specifications, making it a reasonable choice compared to other AAA games.
