Lunar Eclipse in 2025 predicted as a favorable moment for charitable donations, according to an astrologer's recommendations.

The skies over India will be a spectacle to behold on September 7-8, 2025, as the celestial body of the Moon turns a vibrant shade of red during a total lunar eclipse, popularly known as a Blood Moon.

This awe-inspiring event is set to be the second Lunar Eclipse of 2025, with the first one having taken place in March. The Blood Moon will be visible across various parts of the world, including India, Australia, Central Asia, some regions of Russia, Japan, East Africa, and parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa, but will not be visible in the Americas.

In preparation for this cosmic event, rituals have already begun. A Ganga Aarti was performed in Varanasi, and in Delhi, the penumbral phase of the eclipse will start at 8:58 pm, with the partial eclipse beginning around 9:57 pm, and the complete eclipse ending at 12:22 am. The lunar eclipse is expected to last for approximately 3 hours and 28 minutes in total.

OP Gupta, Senior Planetarium Engineer at Nehru Planetarium, and Dr. Suvendu Patnaik have confirmed the details of the September 7-8, 2025, lunar eclipse. The Moon's transformation into a blood-red hue marks the beginning of the 'Shraddha Paksha', a ritual performed to honor deceased ancestors.

Contrary to some misconceptions, there is no harm to the eyes during a lunar eclipse, and it is safe to eat and drink during it. The notion that food spoils during a lunar eclipse is also unfounded. The 'Sutak' period has started from 12:58 pm.

The Blood Moon on September 7-8, 2025, is considered special from both an astrology and astronomy point of view. Witnessing this celestial event in India, Pakistan, and China will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for many. The next total lunar eclipse will occur on March 3, 2026.

For those eager to catch a glimpse of the Blood Moon, clear skies will be essential. The lunar eclipse can be viewed with the naked eye, making it an accessible spectacle for all. So, mark your calendars for September 7, as the blood moon will be visible across India.
