Luna's state-of-the-art smart ring pushes Oura in the realm of health monitoring, featuring artificial intelligence for comprehensive wellness monitoring and fertility analysis.
The health-tech brand Luna has made a splash at IFA Berlin 2025 with the unveiling of their latest product, the Luna 2.0 smart ring. This innovative device, priced at $300/£300 (or $329/£329 with the surge charging case), is set to challenge dominant brands like Samsung, Oura, and Ultrahuman on the global market.
Crafted from durable titanium with a PVD coating, the Luna 2.0 boasts a 5 ATM water-resistance rating, making it suitable for pool sessions and showers. The ring houses a suite of sensors, including green and red optical LEDs for heart rate and blood oxygen, skin temperature monitoring, and a 3-axis accelerometer.
Sleep tracking on the Luna 2.0 has been significantly upgraded. Expanded metrics now include circadian alignment, respiratory performance, and movement disturbances. The ring also offers cycle and fertility tracking for women, predicting phases based on temperature and recovery data.
The Luna 2.0 aims to disrupt the smart ring category by moving beyond passive health tracking into an era where the ring actively helps users make better decisions for performance, recovery, and long-term health. Amit Khatri, the founder of Luna, explains that LifeOS, the system that powers the Luna 2.0, decodes the interaction between the body, mind, and environment.
LifeOS offers real-time guidance rather than just presenting raw data. It draws on circadian rhythm science, lifestyle patterns, and a dataset of over one billion sleep events to personalize insights. The "Body Training" feature helps users avoid burnout while progressing by blending recovery and effort data.
The Luna 2.0 targets stress management by spotting subtle shifts in heart rate, recovery trends, and body temperature. The Luna AI 2.0 assistant offers contextual suggestions on energy management, movement, and recovery. Workout logging includes tracking for structured activities such as running, cycling, and freestyle sessions.
The Luna 2.0 offers impressive battery life, with up to 5 days on a single charge. The redesigned charging case extends this to an impressive 21+ days of total use. The Luna 2.0 will be available on Amazon soon.
With its advanced health tracking capabilities, AI-driven wellness insights, and commitment to helping users make informed decisions about their health, the Luna 2.0 is poised to make a significant impact in the smart ring market.
