Moose Knuckles Partners with Bosideng for Global Expansion

In a significant move, Canadian luxury outerwear brand Moose Knuckles has announced a strategic partnership with Bosideng, a leading Chinese down apparel company. This partnership, backed by international private equity firm Cathay Capital, is expected to inject new momentum into the mid-to-long-term development of both brands.

Bosideng, a world-renowned down apparel enterprise listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HK 3998), has led the down apparel market in China for 29 consecutive years. The company sees this partnership as a positive step towards its internationalization efforts. Meanwhile, Moose Knuckles, with its focus on Canadian craftsmanship, quality materials, and a youthful fashion direction, is renowned for delivering unique consumer experiences in the outerwear market.

Moose Knuckles is expanding its retail presence across the globe, with a goal to meet the ever-evolving expectations of consumers. The brand currently has retail presence in 30 countries, with 36 stores in North America, Europe, and China, and distribution through prestigious retailers. Bosideng products are gaining recognition and sales in international markets.

The co-founders of Moose Knuckles, Ayal Twik and Noah Stern, have exited as shareholders, having successfully led the company's first chapter of growth. Cathay Capital, which has been a committed partner to Moose Knuckles since 2019, remains the majority shareholder. Cathay Capital manages more than 6 billion euros in assets and has completed over 280 investments. The firm supports companies at all stages of development, from start-ups to mid-sized companies, and has offices in Paris, New York, San Francisco, Munich, Berlin, Madrid, Shanghai, Beijing, and Singapore.

In October 2024, Fosun International took a strategic partnership with Moose Knuckles, acquiring a 51% stake in the company. Bosideng will serve as a key investor in Moose Knuckles, with a vision to lead the global down apparel industry. The partnership is expected to bring about synergies in terms of resources, technology, and market reach for both brands.

Moose Knuckles is renowned for its technical pieces for adventurers and those unafraid to stand out. The brand's products are designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions, making it a popular choice among outdoor enthusiasts. With Bosideng's expertise in the down apparel industry and Cathay Capital's extensive network, Moose Knuckles is poised for significant growth in the global market.

This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for both Moose Knuckles and Bosideng, as they embark on a journey towards global domination in the down apparel industry. The partnership is expected to inject new momentum into the mid-to-long-term development of both brands, setting the stage for a promising future in the world of luxury outerwear.
