In a surprising turn of events, the PC industry has launched a counter-marketing campaign against Apple's M1 processor, enlisting the help of none other than Justin Long – a familiar face from Apple's "Get a Mac" campaigns of the past.

The new campaign, aimed at presenting a different perspective on non-Mac computers, is a response to Apple's recent reveal of the M1 processor. John "I'm a PC" Hodgman, who made fun of non-Mac computers as stodgy and old-fashioned in Apple's reveal, has also reprised his role for the new Macbook Air and Macbook Pro.

However, Long's role in the PC industry's campaign is separate from his previous Apple stint. In the Intel #GoPC campaign, he appears as himself, not as a personification of a computer brand. Unlike his Mac user persona, Long now represents a PC user, marking a significant shift in his role.

The PC industry's campaign aims to challenge Apple's marketing strategy surrounding the M1 processor, which has been introduced as a replacement for Intel's chips in the new Macbook Air and Macbook Pro. The industry's response is a clear indication that the competition between the two tech giants is far from over.

As the battle between the PC and Mac continues, it will be interesting to see how the story unfolds. With Justin Long at the forefront of the PC industry's campaign, it seems that the industry is ready to fight back in a bid to maintain its market share. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
