The Spanish fashion industry is set to welcome the upcoming Autumn-Winter 2012 season with the return of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. This prestigious event, previously known as Cibeles, has undergone a transformation, now bearing the name of the renowned German brand, Mercedes-Benz.

The collaboration agreement for this event is between Mercedes-Benz and Ifema, marking a strategic move towards the international development of the Spanish fashion platform. The agreement focuses on reinforcing the link between the German brand and the Spanish fashion industry.

Mercedes-Benz has been a sponsor of catwalks in various cities, including New York and Berlin, where they have named the catwalks after their brand. Continuing this tradition, the Spanish catwalk event will now be known as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

The event takes place twice a year at the Feria de Madrid venue, and the next edition will run from February 1 to 5. However, one notable absence will be designer Adolfo Domínguez, who has decided not to participate due to the current economic situation.

The goal of the agreement is to strengthen the international development of the platform and reinforce the link between the German brand and fashion and new trends. Mercedes-Benz has assumed the naming rights for the event, signifying their commitment to the Spanish fashion industry.

In the past, Mercedes-Benz has sponsored events in various cities, showcasing their support for the fashion industry. This sponsorship extends to the Madrid catwalk, where they aim to promote the latest fashion trends and foster a strong connection between the brand and the industry.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is an exciting event for fashion enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into the latest trends in the fashion world. Despite the absence of Adolfo Domínguez, the event promises to deliver a diverse and captivating lineup of designers and collections for the Autumn-Winter 2012 season.
