The Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department has announced the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for First Year Junior College (FYJC) 2025, equivalent to Class 11 in Maharashtra. Here's a guide to help students understand the process.
Registration and Documentation
The online registration for FYJC 2025 admission begins on May 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM. To apply, students must have completed Class 10 or its equivalent from a recognized board, possess original marksheet and passing certificate of Class 10, and meet other eligibility criteria as specified.
During the registration and admission process, applicants should have documents such as Class 10 mark sheet, school leaving certificate (original), domicile certificate (if required), caste certificate (for reserved categories), Non-creamy layer certificate (for OBC), income certificate (for EWS category), and other special certificates (if applicable) ready. Uploading the required documents in the correct format is necessary during the registration process.
Admission Process
The Maharashtra State Education Department (Maharashtra Shikshan Mandal) is responsible for conducting the FYJC Admissions Process 2025. After the registration period ends, a provisional merit list is released for students to check and request corrections if necessary.
The centralized admission process is applicable in regions such as Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad (now Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), Amravati, Latur, and Kolhapur.
Allotment and Confirmation of Seats
Zero round allotment will take place on June 5, 2025. The first round college allotment list will be displayed on June 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM. If a student accepts the seat, they must confirm admission within the given dates by visiting the college and submitting the necessary documents.
Students can select a minimum of 1 and maximum of 10 preferred colleges during the registration. They can either accept the allotted seat or wait for further rounds. Colleges are allotted to students based on the final merit list, which is published on June 3, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
Special Considerations
Students applying for admission in colleges that belong to the same trust or management as their school may be eligible for the in-house quota.
