Main Event of EPT Seees Mikita Bodyakovsky Securing €50k SHR, Competition Intensifies
33-Year-Old Poker Phenom Mikita Bodyakovsky Snags €50K NLH High Roller Second Chance at EPT Monte Carlo
Last night, the Belarusian poker ace Mikita Bodyakovsky clinched the €50,000 NLH High Roller Second Chance event at EPT Monte Carlo, pocketing an impressive €893,272. Meanwhile, 18 players are back in the game today, fighting tooth and nail to claim the Main Event trophy and its €1 million first prize.
Bodyakovsky, who's been steadily climbing the all-time leaderboard, now holds the 4th spot. He's playing in the shadows of the likes of Stephen Chidwick, Justin Bonomo, and Bryn Kenney – the top three on the leaderboard. This week alone, Bodyakovsky snagged €438,300 from a 6th place finish in the €100k SHR event, won by Chris Nguyen.
The €50k buy-in Second Chance attracted 50 entries, resulting in a €2,425,500 prize pool (approximately $2,747,788). By the time the final table rolled around, Bodyakovsky was battling against Chris Nguyen looking to defend his SHR title and Brian Kim.
Final Results
- Mikita Bodyakovsky: €788,500

The penultimate day is underway, with Aleksandr Shevliakov leading the pack. Last year's runner-up, Boris Angelov, is gunning for the throne this year. All 18 contenders guarantee a €34,600 payout, aiming for a final six by the end of the day's play. Check back tomorrow for the full winner's report!
