Major Road Mishap in Hattingen: One Individual Suffers Critical Injuries
On July 30, 2025, at approximately 6:30 PM, a traffic accident with injuries occurred at the intersection of Zum Kraftwerk/Henrichs-Allee in Hattingen, Germany.
The intersection area was completely closed off during the investigation, as a traffic accident investigation team from Bochum was requested to examine the incident.
The accident involved two Volkswagens. According to the Kreispolizeibehörde Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis, the 34-year-old resident of Hattingen was traveling on "Zum Kraftwerk" street in the direction of "Am Walzwerk". A 38-year-old Hattingen resident, disregarding the right-of-way rule, collided with the 34-year-old's VW from the left.
As a result, the 38-year-old's VW flipped onto its side and landed on the road. The 38-year-old driver was trapped and initially feared to be in critical condition. However, the individual was later taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.
