Malfunctioning Boilers in Nursing Homes Causing Water Burns
The Volunteer Fire Department Celle was called to an elderly care home in Celle on Saturday afternoon at 15:24, following an automatic fire alarm.
Upon arrival, the fire department found that the fire had already been extinguished. The deployed forces, however, had to ventilate and clear the affected area of smoke.
The fire had originated from a water boiler in one room of the care home. Thankfully, no further action was required after the fire was extinguished.
