In a shocking turn of events, a 31-year-old man, of Iraqi origin, has been accused of attempting to kill his 11-year-old daughter in the city of Pforzheim, Germany. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, has left the community in a state of disbelief.

The dispute between the suspect and his daughter was reportedly over a missing navigation device. A concerned witness, who heard the child's screams, alerted the police after finding the girl in a critical condition.

The girl was rushed to a clinic with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, her condition worsened upon the arrival of the police. Emergency services were required, and she was treated in a pediatric intensive care unit.

The suspect was taken into custody on Monday, following a request from the Pforzheim Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation is now being handled by the Pforzheim Criminal Investigation Department.

The head of the Pforzheim prosecution authority, Oberstaatsanwalt Dr. Tobias Wagner, and his deputy, Leitender Oberstaatsanwalt Wolfgang Hilkert, are currently conducting the investigations. It is alleged that the girl was beaten with fists and feet during the dispute.
