Man sustains injury by bull's tail within Yuncos enclosure during the celebrations of the Virgin of the Consuelo, incurring injuries.
A bull run, a traditional feature of the festive program in Yuncos, Toledo, took place on Friday afternoon. The event, which is usually only open to registered subscribers, attracted a crowd but ended in an unfortunate incident.
Shortly after 7 pm, during the bull run, a young man was gored by the bull. The animal, tied by a rope around its neck, and the runner got tangled in the rope, causing the bull to toss the man around twice. The young man sustained a seven-centimeter gash in his leg and was immediately taken to the University Hospital of Toledo for treatment.
The injured man spent the night under observation and was discharged the following Saturday. The animal hunter who was responsible for the incident has not been publicly identified.
It's worth noting that this bull run was a specific event, not a regular occurrence. The bullfighting celebrations in Yuncos continue this Sunday, with a different central event: the release of cows in the plaza.
This incident has made headlines, highlighting the risks associated with such events. It serves as a reminder that while these traditional events are part of the festive program, they require careful management to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators.
