Manchester United narrowly avoided embarrassment as Fernandes scored, Chelsea emerged victorious, and Tottenham suffered a loss at the hands of Bournemouth.

Manchester United have a new coach at the helm after a tumultuous start to the season. Ruben Amorim took over following a 3-2 loss against Burnley, with the team only managing one point from their opening two league games. However, Bruno Fernandes scored a stoppage-time penalty to secure a 3-2 victory for United, with new signing Bryan Mbeumo also getting on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere, Everton secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. Jack Grealish was instrumental in the Toffees' victory, providing two assists. Beto opened the scoring for Everton, heading in a Grealish cross, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye also found the net, the latter celebrating with a wolf pose. Hwang Hee-chan equalized for Wolves in the 21st minute, but Everton held on for the win.

Sunderland, back in the top flight after an eight-year absence, joined Everton on six points with a stoppage-time win over Brentford. The Black Cats were led by Jaidon Anthony, who scored twice in the game.

Chelsea moved to the top of the table with a 2-0 home win over Fulham. Joao Pedro scored his fifth goal in his last five competitive matches for the Blues, putting them ahead, before Enzo Fernandez secured the victory with a penalty in the second half. Fulham's teenaged midfielder Joshua King's opener was ruled out after a long VAR check for a supposed foul by Rodrigo Muniz in the build-up.

In other matches, Leeds United and Newcastle United played out a draw, while champions Liverpool will face title rivals Arsenal on Sunday. Tottenham Hotspur lost 1-0 at home to Bournemouth, with the home fans booing at full-time. Chelsea's 2-0 win over Fulham means they now sit seven points clear at the top of the table.

Manager Marco Silva of Fulham expressed his frustration over the disallowed goal, stating "How you disallow a goal like that one is unbelievable. Unbelievable." It was a dramatic weekend in the Premier League, with several goals, controversial decisions, and new managers taking charge. The action continues next week, with more exciting matches to come.
