Mark Cuban Spotlights the Most Idiotic Video Posted on Bluesky

Mark Cuban, the billionaire entrepreneur and Shark Tank star, caused a stir on the emerging social media platform Bluesky on Friday with the sharing of an AI-generated video promoting the theme of "Make America United Again" (MAUA).

The video, posted at 12:03 PM on March 14, 2025, has been met with criticism for its unusual portrayal of political figures and has been labelled as one of the worst pieces of media on the platform.

Cuban's decision to share this video comes amidst his transition to Bluesky, which some see as a protest against Elon Musk and his connections to former President Trump. The video features Cuban next to AI-generated versions of tech moguls Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk, as well as political figures such as Donald Trump, Barack Obama, Elizabeth Warren, and Nancy Pelosi.

The video's theme of unity is somewhat confusing given Cuban's protest against Trump and Musk. However, some Democrats are joining in the spirit of Cuban's campaign, with the Democratic Party perceived as being centrist while extremism has taken root in the Republican Party.

The timing of the video's release is also noteworthy, as it comes days after Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader in the Senate, helped push forward a Republican spending package that keeps the government open. Trump praised Schumer on Friday morning for his support, but Schumer's rationale is that if they didn't let the Republicans have everything they want, Musk would fire a bunch of federal employees.

Cuban's political aspirations are not a secret, with rumors circulating about how he himself might want to run for president one day. In 2024, Cuban was embraced by Kamala Harris's presidential campaign as a billionaire who could offer advice on technology policy, including crypto.

Despite the criticism, it remains to be seen whether Cuban's "Make America United Again" campaign will gain traction or continue to divide opinion on Bluesky.
