In a remarkable achievement, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has set a new record by exporting a total of 332,585 units in the financial year 2024-25, marking a significant 17.5% increase compared to the previous year's exports of 283,067 units. This makes MSIL the country's top passenger vehicle exporter for the fourth consecutive financial year.

The top five markets for MSIL's exports were South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Japan, and Mexico. The company's success in these markets is a testament to the quality and appeal of its vehicles worldwide.

One of the key contributors to this success is the Fronx and Jimny 5-door models, which received an overwhelming response in Japan. The exports of these models to Japan is a clear indication of India's growing stature as a global manufacturing hub.

MSIL exports 17 models to approximately 100 countries. The Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Swift, and Dzire were the highest exported models by MSIL in FY 2024-25.

The journey of MSIL's exports began in 1986, with the first large consignment of 500 cars shipped to Hungary in September of that year. Since then, MSIL has come a long way, establishing itself as a significant player in the global automobile industry.

Hisashi Takeuchi, the MD & CEO of MSIL, has led the company through this impressive growth. Under his leadership, MSIL has reached a significant milestone, having cumulatively exported 3 million units by November 2024.

With its continued focus on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, MSIL is poised to continue its growth trajectory in the global market. The company's success is a shining example of 'Make in India' and the potential of Indian manufacturing on the global stage.
