Matt Fitzpatrick's Spouse: Introducing Katherine Gaal
In the world of professional golf, Matt Fitzpatrick's game has been making headlines. But off the green, it's his partner, Katherine Gaal, who has been capturing hearts.
Gaal, born on August 15, 1991, in New Jersey, is a woman of many talents. She attended Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with a GPA of 3.67 and a double major in finance and broadcast journalism. Her ambition and hard work are evident on her LinkedIn page.
Before making her debut on Fitzpatrick's social media at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in early 2023, Gaal had a career as a tennis professional at the Bay Head Yacht Club in New Jersey. She also held an Alternative Route to Teaching certification for K-6 and special education pupils.
Prior to her relationship with Fitzpatrick, Gaal was in a relationship with Deniz Khazaniuk, a tennis player who achieved a career-high ranking of 200 on the WTA (Singles).
Gaal and Fitzpatrick's relationship has been growing stronger, with Gaal starting to take golf more seriously over the past year. They have been spotted together at prestigious events like Wimbledon, the Grand Slam tennis tournament in London.
Their bond is not just limited to the golf course. In April 2019, Gaal started working at data protection and data management software company, Commvault. Since January 2021, she has held the position of regional marketing manager for the south east of the United States.
Their love story took a significant step forward on September 9, 2023, when Fitzpatrick shared an Instagram post announcing their engagement. The joyous occasion was marked by a touching gesture from Gaal, who wrote "I love you" and "MF is cute" on Fitzpatrick's Titleist golf balls before the 2025 Open Championship.
Gaal's presence can also be seen in the Netflix docuseries 'Full Swing', where she appeared in Fitzpatrick's episode. She also featured in the second season of the series in an episode featuring Alex Fitzpatrick.
In her past, Gaal has been recognised for her achievements outside of golf. In 2013, she finished as first runner-up in the Miss New Jersey USA pageant, and the following year, she was presented with an Amity Award.
