Allianz, the global insurance company, has made significant changes to its digital strategy, with MediaMonks and BBDO New York set to play key roles.

According to an Adweek post, Allianz has hired MediaMonks to manage its worldwide digital assets. The Dutch creative technology agency will be responsible for the global implementation of these assets, with the production of digital content being a key part of their remit. The global client lead position for Allianz's account at MediaMonks is based in Munich, and it is reported that the individual running the team has not been named.

Meanwhile, Hector Muelas, the new global chief brand and customer experience officer for Allianz, has appointed BBDO New York as the creative and strategic lead agency for Allianz. Muelas, who took on his new role in January, has not commented on the appointments or the agency roles. It is unclear if BBDO New York will work alongside MediaMonks or if they will be responsible for different aspects of Allianz's digital strategy.

S4 Capital agency is also seeking a global client lead based in Munich for Allianz. It is not known if this role is related to the digital assets management or if it is a separate position.

Allianz did not respond to requests for comment regarding the new appointments and agency roles.

These changes mark a significant shift in Allianz's digital strategy, as the company looks to strengthen its online presence and engage with customers in new and innovative ways. With MediaMonks and BBDO New York on board, Allianz is well-placed to make a strong impact in the digital space.
