Meetup Proposal for Solitary Seniors to Socialize over Coffee and Pastries
In the heart of Solingen, the Lebensherbst e.V. association is hosting a meeting aimed at offering support to senior citizens who have been affected by the recent incident in the city. The event, titled "Zusammen statt allein" (Together Instead of Alone), is part of the association's ongoing efforts to combat loneliness in old age.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 4th, at 3:00 PM, at the Atelier Gleis 3 in the Solingen Goods Halls in the Südpark at Alexander-Coppl-Straße 36. Registration is required for planning purposes and can be done by phone at 0177 - 625 43 96 or by email at [email protected].
The gathering will be led by Kirsten Sander, a professional in her field, specializing in psychotherapy and trauma therapy. Sander will provide a safe space for senior citizens to discuss their feelings and concerns about the recent incident. Everyone in Solingen is affected differently, with some mourning, others angry, and some anxious. Sander's expertise will undoubtedly offer comfort and guidance during this difficult time.
Admission to the event is free, and it is open to all senior citizens who are members of the Lebensherbst e.V. association and attend the Südpark event. The meeting will include homemade cake and filter coffee, adding a touch of warmth and comfort to the gathering.
The Lebensherbst e.V. association invites lone senior citizens to the Südpark on the first Wednesday of each month. This initiative is made possible through financial support from the Gerd-Kaimer-Citizen Foundation. The association's efforts to support the community in Solingen are commendable, and this meeting is a testament to their commitment.
