In a series of mobile traffic checks conducted by the Hildesheim Police Department on August 28, 2025, several administrative and criminal offense proceedings were initiated in the cities of Bad Salzdetfurth and Bockenem, Lower Saxony.

The checks, carried out at various locations, led to the discovery of an administrative offense in Bockenem. A 21-year-old truck driver was found using a "speed camera warning app" on his mobile phone at around 22:39 on "Am Alten Friedhof" street. This offense is punishable by a fine of at least 75 euros plus processing costs and one point in Flensburg.

Meanwhile, at 23:27 in Lärchenstraße, Bad Salzdetfurth, a woman driving a Seat passenger car was stopped by the police. The woman, who had surrendered her driver's license due to a driving ban a few days earlier, was found driving despite the ban, leading to a criminal proceeding against her.

Earlier in the evening, several checks were carried out in 31167 Bockenem. At approximately 23:00, a truck in Hachumer Straße was stopped due to defective lighting equipment. The driver of the stopped truck was a 35-year-old individual, who was wanted for previous traffic offenses by the Essen public prosecutor's office.

The truck in question did not comply with relevant regulations and should not have been used in public spaces. The electric scooter checked in the same street also did not meet the necessary standards, making it unfit for use in public spaces.

In a separate incident, the 35-year-old driver was found guilty of the current offenses on the spot in Hachumer Straße.

The traffic checks carried out by the Hildesheim Police Department resulted in additional criminal proceedings. An 18-year-old owner was found to have insured an electric scooter with a false claim that it was registered for road traffic, leading to a criminal proceeding for indirect false certification.

The responsible police department that conducted the mobile controls in August 2025 in the cities of Bad Salzdetfurth and Bockenem is the Lower Saxony State Police (Niedersächsische Polizei). The checks serve as a reminder for all road users to adhere to traffic regulations to ensure safety for everyone on the road.
