MGM Resorts appoints Ayesha Molino as Chief Operating Officer, designates Gary Fritz for digital expansion affairs
MGM Resorts International Announces Leadership Changes
MGM Resorts International, one of the world's leading entertainment and hospitality companies, has announced some significant changes in its leadership team. Corey Sanders, the current Chief Operating Officer (COO), will be retiring at the end of 2025, marking the end of a 30-year career with the company. However, he will continue to advise the company's President and CEO, Bill Hornbuckle, until the end of 2026.
In the meantime, Ayesha Molino, who currently serves as president and COO of ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa, has been appointed as the new COO of MGM Resorts International. Molino joined MGM in 2017 after serving as chief counsel to former US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Her ability to unite teams, drive results, and navigate challenges makes her the perfect leader to succeed Corey Sanders.
Bill Hornbuckle praised Molino's appointment, saying, "Ayesha's strong leadership and deep understanding of our business make her the ideal choice to lead our operations as COO. I am confident she will continue to drive our success and help us navigate the challenges ahead."
Gary Fritz, who has played a significant role in advancing MGM's digital strategy, has seen his role expanded to include leadership over MGM's digital, gaming, marketing, and advertising businesses. Fritz has been appointed as the chief commercial officer and president of MGM Digital. He has been instrumental in the expansion of BetMGM into international markets such as Brazil.
Fritz's expanded role includes the position of president of MGM Digital. Prior to joining MGM, Fritz served in senior positions at Expedia, McKinsey & Company, and IAC. He currently serves on the boards of BetMGM and LeoVegas.
Corey Sanders will remain in his position as COO until the end of 2025. During his tenure, he held various leadership positions, including COO, CFO, and roles in Las Vegas and regional operations. Sanders expressed his gratitude for his time at MGM, saying, "I have had the privilege of working with some of the most talented and dedicated people in the industry, and I am proud of what we have achieved together. I look forward to continuing to support the company in my advisory role."
With these changes, MGM Resorts International is poised to continue its growth and success in the ever-evolving world of entertainment and hospitality.
