Middle-aged individual (57) assaulted by a 39-year-old using a knife
In the heart of Reutbergstraße, Gunzenhausen, a violent incident unfolded on Saturday, 23rd August 2025, around 4 p.m. Two men, aged 39 and 57, were involved in the altercation.
The 39-year-old, who is now being investigated by the Gunzenhausen police for dangerous bodily harm, pulled out a knife from his backpack and attacked the 57-year-old. The older man attempted to defend himself during the attack and, in the process, fell onto the street while trying to flee. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury to his elbow during the fall.
The attacker, however, fled the scene after the incident. The police are currently looking for the 39-year-old and are appealing for witnesses regarding the incident. They are particularly interested in speaking with the driver of a vehicle who was present during the incident. The identity of this individual has not been publicly disclosed.
As the investigation continues, the police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information that could help in the case to contact the Gunzenhausen police at 09831/6788-0. They stress the importance of this witness's account in helping to bring the perpetrator to justice.
