New Barracks to Enhance Living Conditions for Latvia's Soldiers

The National Defence Service of Latvia is set to receive a significant upgrade, with the construction of a new barracks currently underway. This new facility, scheduled for completion within a year, will provide full-fledged accommodation conditions for up to 450 soldiers.

The 7,860 square metre, four-storey building is being constructed by SIA "Selva Būve" at a cost of 9,977,441.33 euros. The design and planning of the new barracks were carried out by SIA "Citrus Solutions" at a cost of 475,530 euros.

The ground floor of the new barracks will house storage areas and a training area with classrooms. The second, third, and fourth floors will be used for accommodation. The ventilation, heating, and air conditioning solutions of the new barracks have been improved to enhance the living conditions of the staff.

The landscaping of the adjacent territory is part of the construction plan for the new barracks. This will not only provide a more aesthetically pleasing environment but also contribute to the overall well-being of the soldiers.

Minister of Defence Andris Sprūds made a statement about the new barracks, acknowledging the importance of the facility in strengthening Latvia's defense capabilities. He also highlighted the dedication of the soldiers of the National Defence Service, who invest their time and energy in strengthening the security of Latvia.

The new barracks are a significant step in improving the living conditions of soldiers in Latvia. The improved facilities will undoubtedly contribute to the morale and effectiveness of the National Defence Service, an integral part of Latvia's security system.

Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no information available about the company currently involved in the construction of the new barracks building in Latvia costing over 10 million euros.

The construction of the new barracks is a positive development for the National Defence Service and the people of Latvia. It is a testament to the commitment of the government to ensure the best possible conditions for those who protect our nation.
