Miss Piggy edition of Oris' ProPilot X now available as successor to Kermit edition
The Swiss watch brand Oris has unveiled a new addition to their ProPilot X lineup - the Miss Piggy Edition. This ladies watch, available now on Oris' website, offers a fresh take on the classic ProPilot X design while paying homage to the beloved character, Miss Piggy.
Unlike the Kermit Edition, the Miss Piggy Edition does not feature a diamond on the dial. Instead, a lab-grown diamond adorns the 12 o'clock position. The dial itself is a vibrant hot pink, with hour markers that are slightly darker in shade and applied for the first time on the ProPilot X.
The Miss Piggy Edition departs from the typical manufacture calibers used in the ProPilot X lineup, as it is powered by a Sellita-base Caliber 531 automatic movement. This watch also does not have a date window, unlike the Kermit Edition.
The design of the Miss Piggy Edition subtly references Miss Piggy in its own way, without direct imagery on the dial. Her image is visible through a small window in the solid caseback.
The Miss Piggy Edition comes in a 34mm stainless steel case, making it the first time this size has been offered for the ProPilot X model. The lug-to-lug measures 41.5mm, and its thickness is 11mm.
This is not the first time Oris has collaborated with the Muppets. In 2023, they released a special edition of the ProPilot X watch, paying homage to Kermit the Frog. Now, they have followed up with the Miss Piggy Edition.
The Miss Piggy Edition features a stainless steel bracelet, a first for the ProPilot X lineup. It retails for $3,200, making it more affordable than the Kermit Edition, which has a price tag of $4,600.
The Miss Piggy Edition of the ProPilot X is not limited in edition size, making it accessible for fans of both Miss Piggy and Oris watches. This charming timepiece is sure to be a hit with watch enthusiasts and Muppets fans alike.
