MLS Week 19 Preview: Dramatic Turnarounds and High-Scoring Matches
The Major League Soccer (MLS) Week 19 action kicks off on Friday, August 13, 2021, with a series of exciting matches across the league.
Atlanta United, who recently broke a 12-match winless skid with a 3-2 road win over Columbus Crew, will host LAFC on Sunday at 4:00 pm EST. Damian Moreno added a second penalty kick goal for Atlanta United in their recent win, while Ezequiel Barco scored twice. However, Atlanta United has conceded two or more goals in the past three games, a trend they'll look to break against LAFC, who have been winless in five games, with each game seeing at least three goals scored and both teams finding the back of the net.

Columbus Crew, who have dropped their past three results by 3-2, 4-2, and 4-1 scorelines, face a tough test against Toronto FC, who rank last in the league with only 15 points. TFC has allowed a league-worst 38 goals this season and have scored just 16.
Toronto FC and New England Revolution are scheduled to play at 8:00 pm EST on Saturday. New England is currently ten points clear in the East, with the Revs being the league's highest scorers this season, boasting 35 tallies.
Chicago Fire, who have only four wins this season but have lost just twice in their past nine games, will host the Union, Orlando, and Cincinnati who are off this weekend. Chicago Fire has scored in all but one of their past nine games, a 0-0 draw versus a stingy NYCFC defense.
The CONCACAF Champions League Semifinals Leg 1 matches took place this week, with Philadelphia losing 2-0 to Club America. Four teams (Sporting KC, Seattle, NYCFC, Orlando) were involved in the Leagues Cup earlier this week, with only Seattle advancing.
San Jose hosts Vancouver on Friday night, followed by seven matches on Saturday and four more on Sunday. Out of the 13 games last week, ten saw both teams scoring. Eight of those ten had a total of over 2.5 goals.
In MLS Week 19 odds, Atlanta United is favoured to win against LAFC, while Toronto FC is expected to lose against New England. MLS Week 19 odds will be available for all matches.
