Mobile network enhancement in Offenbach's county by Vodafone: expansion advances steadily

In the district of Offenbach, Vodafone has taken significant strides to improve its network and prioritise user safety. The telecommunications giant has equipped all 89 mobile stations in the district with emergency call technology AML and a disaster warning system called Cell Broadcast.

These systems are designed to ensure user safety, particularly in emergencies. The emergency call technology AML enables the precise location of a caller to be transmitted to rescue services via "112" in critical situations. On the other hand, the disaster warning system Cell Broadcast can immediately inform the population of potential hazards, such as fires or floods, via mobile phones.

Vodafone's commitment to safety is evident as these systems are now available at every mobile station in Offenbach. In addition, the company has already deployed 5G at 49 mobile stations, covering almost the entire inhabited area. This move is part of Vodafone's aim to provide as much of the population in Offenbach with 5G by the end of 2025.

The company has also been actively working on network modernization. Over the past twelve months, Vodafone has completed 16 construction projects in Offenbach, and plans five more in the coming year for network expansion. The next expansion stage includes additional antennas at existing stations in locations such as Obertshausen and Dreieich.

Moreover, Vodafone continues to invest in infrastructure to meet the growing demand for mobile data traffic. The district of Offenbach has seen an annual growth of more than 35 percent in mobile data traffic. To cater to this increase, LTE (4G) has been installed at 83 of the 89 mobile stations in Offenbach.

The next district where Vodafone is adding additional antennas to existing mobile radio stations to increase network capacity is Mülheim-Eppinghofen. The expansion work there is scheduled from September 1 to approximately September 15, 2025.

It's clear that Vodafone places great emphasis on user safety and network reliability in Offenbach. As the district continues to grow, so does Vodafone's commitment to providing a robust and safe network for its users.
