In the coming week, the city of Bergisch Gladbach will be conducting several speed monitoring measures to ensure road safety. The city publishes the planned measurement points of these checks on its internet pages on a weekly basis, providing transparency and promoting positive behavioural changes.

According to the latest schedule, the speed check on Reuterstraße is scheduled for both Wednesday, 27.08.2025, and Friday, 22.08.2025. On Wednesday, 27.08.2025, the speed checks will also be carried out on Lerbacher Weg, Ferrenbergstraße, and Schützheider Weg. On Friday, 29.08.2025, the speed checks will be conducted on Nußbaumer Straße, Ommerbornstraße, and Asselborner Weg.

Additionally, speed checks are planned for Monday, 25.08.2025, on Herweg, Klutstein, and Borngasse. On Tuesday, 26.08.2025, the speed checks will be conducted on Schmidt-Blegge-Straße, Hufer Weg, and Ball. The speed check on In der Schlade is scheduled for Saturday, 23.08.2025, and on Kippekausen for Friday, 29.08.2025. On Saturday, 30.08.2025, the speed checks will be carried out on Dellbrücker Straße and Am Rübezahlwald.

The police authority also conducts its own controls, and information on these can be found on the police's internet pages. It's worth noting that mobile speed checks are also planned in Bergisch Gladbach.

The amended administrative regulation No. 48.26, enacted by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government of North Rhine-Westphalia on 15. July 2013, places particular importance on the announcement of controls and the publication of measurement sites. This regulation requires the announcement and publication of municipal measurement sites for speed monitoring.

While specific information about which streets in Bergisch Gladbach will have speed monitoring next week is not publicly available, residents are encouraged to be mindful of the scheduled checks and drive responsibly. Deviations due to unforeseen current traffic situations are possible.

Scientific studies show that transparency, publication, and more controls bring about positive behavioural changes. By making the planned speed monitoring measures transparent, the city of Bergisch Gladbach aims to promote a safer and more responsible driving culture.
