Bergisch Gladbach, Germany - The city authorities have announced plans for speed checks in various locations from August 29 to September 6, 2025. The municipal internet pages will serve as the suitable medium for publishing these details, in accordance with the regulations.

According to Administrative Regulation No. 48.26, speed monitoring measures for traffic safety are to be ensured as a priority, given the available resources. The new regulation, amended by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government of North Rhine-Westphalia on July 15, 2013, emphasizes the importance of transparency, publication, and more controls in bringing about positive behavioural changes.

On Friday, August 29, speed checks will be conducted at Kippekausen, Ommerbornstraße, and Asselborner Weg. The following day, on Saturday, August 30, speed checks will be carried out at Lückerather Weg and Schützheider Weg.

On Monday, September 1, speed checks will be conducted at Paffrather Straße, Dolmanstraße, and Hornstraße. On Tuesday, September 2, speed checks will be conducted at Reuterstraße, Lerbacher Weg, and Jägerstraße. On Wednesday, September 3, speed checks will be conducted at Odenthaler Straße, Ball, and Altenberger-Dom-Straße.

On Thursday, September 4, speed checks will be conducted at Kempener Straße, Taubenstraße, and Klutstein. On Friday, September 5, speed checks will be conducted at Am Rübezahlwald, Büschemer Straße, and Brüderstraße. On Saturday, September 6, speed checks will be conducted at Duckterather Weg and Voiswinkeler Straße.

The police authority will be carrying out these checks, and further information can be found on their internet pages. Mobile speed checks are planned, and deviations in the schedule may occur due to unforeseeable current traffic situations.

Particular importance is attached to the announcement of controls and the publication of measurement points. The new regulation requires the announcement and publication of communal measurement points for speed monitoring carried out by the municipality, not just the exact measurement times.
