Next week, speed checks will be conducted in various areas of Bergisch Gladbach. On Monday, 8th September, the checks will take place at Reuterstraße, Bruderstraße, and Jägerstraße. On Wednesday, 10th September, Dellbrücker Straße, Reiser, and Mülheimer Straße will be the focus.

The police authority is responsible for carrying out these checks, and information on these can be found on their internet pages. For those who wish to stay updated on the district's speed control locations, a link is provided: https://www.rbk-direkt.de/Dienstleistung.aspx?dlid=3741

The city of Bergisch Gladbach publishes the planned measurement points of the speed monitoring carried out by the municipality on a weekly basis on its municipal internet pages. However, the exact locations for the week starting Monday, September 15, were not specifically detailed in the available search results.

The new administrative guideline No. 48.26, effective since July 15, 2013, states that speed monitoring measures should be ensured as a priority according to the available resources and should be announced and published in advance using suitable media. This regulation places particular importance on the announcement of controls and the publication of measurement sites.

Unforeseen traffic situations may cause deviations in the speed checks. Announcements and publications of measurement sites are not required for the exact measurement times.

Scientific studies show that transparency, publication, and more controls bring about positive behavioral changes.

Starting from this week, mobile speed checks will also take place in Bergisch Gladbach. On Thursday, 11th September, speed checks will be conducted at Asselborner Weg, Kardinal-Schulte-Straße, and Katterbachstraße. On Friday, 12th September, speed checks will be conducted at Ball and Rheinhöhenweg, and on Odenthaler Straße. On Saturday, 6th September, speed checks will be conducted at Duckterather Weg and Voiswinkeler Straße. On Tuesday, 9th September, Paffrather Straße, Kaule, and Dolmanstraße will be the focus.

On Saturday, 13th September, speed checks will be conducted at Kippekausen and Borngasse.

The administrative guidelines for § 48 Abs. 2 of the Ordnungsbehördengesetz (OBG) were changed by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government NRW to emphasise the importance of announcing and publishing municipal measurement sites for speed monitoring.
