Monza scheduling agenda

The Italian Grand Prix, the last European race of the season, is fast approaching. Before the premier class bids farewell to the old continent and embarks on a world tour, the action-packed event will take centre stage at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza from September 5th to 7th.

As the 16th race of a total of 24 in the Formula 1 World Championship, the Italian Grand Prix carries significant weight for the teams and drivers. For Ferrari, in particular, it is their home race, making it a crucial event for the iconic Italian team.

The circuit, affectionately known as the "Temple of Speed", is renowned for its long straights and high speeds. Plenty of power and low rear wings are required for good top speed on the Monza track.

The practices and qualifying sessions will start an hour later than usual due to the schedule of Formula 2 and Formula 3. The first free practice session will commence on Friday, September 5th, at 13:30, followed by the second session at 17:00. The third and final free practice session will take place on Saturday, September 6th, at 12:30. Qualifying to determine the starting grid will occur later that day at 16:00.

The main race will commence on Sunday, September 7th, at 15:00 CEST. The Reds are under pressure after a disappointing result in Zandvoort and will be eager to secure a breakthrough in Italy. So far this season, the Scuderia has not secured a win, and a new signing, Lewis Hamilton, has only managed a single podium finish for the team.
