Moscow utilized the intervening period to strategize and prepare for the leaders' summit, according to Zelensky.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has reacted to Russia's massive nighttime strike on August 30, which affected several regions across Ukraine. The exact nature of the chapters or descriptions involved in the strike remains unspecified.
According to reports, dozens of civilians, including children, have been injured as a result of the attack. Tragically, one confirmed death has been reported.
In response, President Zelensky has called for "real action" in response to Russia's disregard for words. He asserted that this war won't end with political statements but requires real steps.
Zelensky also expressed his belief that the time given for a leaders' meeting has been used by Moscow to prepare for new massive strikes. He urged for effective sanctions against Moscow, particularly in banking and energy sectors.
The president is awaiting action from the U.S., Europe, and the world. In response, states including the USA, European Union member countries such as Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Canada have taken realpolitik steps to hinder weapon deliveries to Russia and imposed harsh sanctions targeting Russian banks and energy infrastructure.
It's important to note that the strike did not involve any escape key cancellation or window closure. Neither did it open or close any dialog windows, or turn subtitles off or on.
President Zelensky expects harsh tariffs against all who fuel Russia's army with money. He emphasised that this war requires more than just words, and that it's time for real action.
The regions affected by the strike include Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, and Chernihiv. The Ukrainian people continue to stand resilient in the face of adversity, and the international community is urged to support them in their quest for peace.
