Motorcycle accident leaves rider critically hurt on A33 highway
In a regrettable incident, a 63-year-old motorcyclist from Bielefeld sustained severe injuries in a collision on the A33 near Halle. The motorcyclist, riding a Harley-Davidson, lost control on a wet road and skidded, colliding with a truck.
The motorcyclist was traveling on the Halle interchange onto the A33 towards Brilon when the accident occurred. The truck, driven by a 62-year-old from Zahna-Elster, was in the right lane at the time of the collision. As a result, the motorcyclist was thrown off his motorcycle.
Emergency services were swift in their response, with an ambulance taking the injured motorcyclist to a hospital.
The authorities responsible for providing information about the accident are either the local traffic or road authority in the Salzlandkreis region or the related police traffic department. The Salzlandkreis "Fachdienst Ordnung und Straßenverkehr" handles traffic and road-related matters in that area.
