Motorcycle rider, aged 19, succumbed to fatal injuries following a fall of 21 metres from a DASH flyover in the vicinity of Shah Alam, as reported by local law enforcement.

Lee Zii Jia, the world number 52 men's singles shuttler, is gearing up for a comeback at the World Championships 2025, to be held at the Adidas Arena in Paris. The arena holds a special place in Zii Jia's heart, as it was the venue where he won bronze at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Last year, Zii Jia took a five-month break from the court, during which he revealed he experienced a bout of depression. To cope with his struggles, he deliberately avoided badminton news and social media.

In July 2022, Zii Jia shared several mysterious posts on social media, sparking speculation about their meaning. It was later revealed that he embarked on a 'healing trip' that included reading, solo travel, skydiving in Dubai, and visiting art museums in Abu Dhabi.

Zii Jia made his return to competition in March at the Orleans Masters. In the first round, he was knocked out by Hong Kong's Angus Ng Ka Long. The former All England champion, however, showed signs of his formidable playing style in the following rounds, making it as far as the quarter-finals before losing to Ireland's Nhat Nguyen.

As he prepares for the World Championships, Zii Jia will face South Korea's Jeon Hyeok Jin, who is ranked world No. 38. Despite his ongoing ankle injury, Zii Jia withdrew from the 2025 Swiss Open in Basel, Switzerland, to focus on his recovery and ensure he is in top form for the World Championships.

The World Championships 2025 will not be Zii Jia's first time playing at the Adidas Arena. He won bronze there at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and now, he aims to make history once again.

While the details of his recovery trip and visits to art museums remain unknown, one thing is certain: Lee Zii Jia's journey is a testament to his resilience and determination. As he steps onto the court at the World Championships 2025, fans will be eager to see him bring his A-game and compete at the highest level.
