Motorcycle rider sustains severe injuries in traffic accident involving a car
In the morning of August 26, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred in Schalke, Germany. According to the Gelsenkirchen Police, who are handling the investigation, the incident took place at around 8:45 a.m. on Gewerkenstraße near Grothusstraße.
The motorcyclist involved in the collision was from Bottrop and is 43 years old. The driver of the car involved was a 69-year-old individual from Gelsenkirchen, who was turning into a gas station at the time of the accident.
Upon impact, the motorcyclist fell and required immediate medical attention at the scene. After initial treatment, the motorcyclist was taken to a hospital for further care.
The Gelsenkirchen Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. The officer responsible for the investigation has not been named in the available sources.
