In the heart of Siberia, a powerful and moving story is unfolding on the silver screen. The film "Karina," produced by artdoid, is currently running in Yakutsk, based on real events from a decade ago about a four-year-old girl named Karina Chikitova who got lost in the woods.

Set in the summer of 2014 in a tiny village on the edge of an endless forest, the narrative of "Karina" captivates and holds the audience's attention from the very first minute. The film is a close adaptation of the original events, unlike purely fictional versions that could focus on different genres or aspects of the story.

The creative team, including the director, producer, operators, actors, and Karina Chikitova herself, attended the premiere of the film at Yakutsk's oldest cinema, the "Central." The film was shot in the Yakutian cinema industry, with Line Producer Dina Egorova overseeing the production.

The film's narrative structure is unique, with a genre shift from mystical to detective drama, thriller, and back to mysticism. The story follows Karina, barefoot and without warm clothes, as she wanders through impassable thickets full of blood-sucking insects and dangerous predators. The frantic search efforts of the family, volunteers, and rescuers over hundreds of kilometers of taiga are also depicted in the film.

Twelve days pass in the film before the most experienced rescuers lose hope of finding Karina alive. However, the film is an incredible story about the power of spirit and belief in miracles. A montage of real footage taken during the search operations in the Olekminsky District in 2014 is screened along with the credits, serving as a poignant reminder of the real events.

Marianna Siyegan, the producer and director of the film, is known for her work in filmmaking. The screenplay for the film was written by Maria Nakhodkina. The film stars Sophia Pribylykh, Vyacheslav Lavernov, Maria Kychkins, Petr Basnaev, Sandaraia Nogovitsyna, Pavel Kolesov, and others.

Executive Producers are Mark Kotokonov and Sardana Syrómyatnikova. The film was shot in the Olekminsky Uluus region, with the filming taking place in the Olekminsky District. The film "Karina" is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of belief in the face of adversity. It is a story that will leave audiences moved and inspired.
