Multiple arrest warrants issued for a pair of individuals, as per BPOLI MD's report
On May 22, 2025, a young couple found themselves in the custody of the Federal Police at Aschersleben station. The 22-year-old woman was wanted by several authorities due to unpaid fines and unserved imprisonment from separate theft convictions in Stendal and Rathenow Local Courts in 2024. The man was wanted by the Potsdam Public Prosecutor's Office and Rathenow Local Court for armed theft and multiple offenses with theft of low-value items, as well as a detention order in another ongoing procedure due to repeated unexcused absence from main trial dates.
The arrest warrants against the woman were issued by the Stendal Public Prosecutor's Office in March 2024 and the Potsdam Public Prosecutor's Office in February 2025, while the arrest warrant against the man was issued by the Potsdam Public Prosecutor's Office in April 2025. The judge confirmed the arrest warrant for the man, and the officers took him to a prison.

According to the details, the woman contacted her mother, who paid the imposed fines and procedural costs of 1260 euros for the couple at a police station, allowing the woman to leave the Federal Police's premises at 23:02.
The Stendal Local Court sentenced the woman to a fine of 150 euros or 10 days' imprisonment for theft in March 2024. The man was sentenced to a fine of 300 euros or 30 days' imprisonment for armed theft in multiple offenses with theft of low-value items by the Rathenow Local Court.
