Multiple Car Crashes; Multiple Arrests for Speeding and Driving Under the Influence; Intense Protests at Airport; Bicycle Stolen; Alcohol Consumption Causing Chaos on Roadways
In a series of events over the weekend, several incidents have been reported across the region, involving vehicles, motorcycles, and pedestrians.
In Leinfelden-Echterdingen Airport, a 32-year-old man is currently under investigation for resisting arrest, following a disruption at a customs check on Sunday afternoon. The incident resulted in injuries to four officers and strong resistance from the suspect.
Elsewhere, a traffic accident on the L245 in Reutlingen left a 26-year-old motorcyclist injured. In a separate incident, a 20-year-old man was seriously injured after losing control of his KTM Supermoto in Bisingen, colliding with a Mercedes. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with severe injuries.
On the community connecting road in the extension of the Esslingen Street in Pliezhausen, a 56-year-old scooter rider had an accident, colliding with the guardrail and underrun protection. No injuries were reported, but the motorcycle sustained €8,000 in damage.
In Bodelshausen, inattention and insufficient safety distance led to a traffic accident, causing property damage estimated at around €7,000 to both vehicles involved. No injuries were reported in this incident.
A 42-year-old man was pulled over early Monday morning in Rottenburg for driving under the influence of alcohol.
In other news, two 14 and 15-year-old juveniles were caught spraying graffiti on the Arbach hut in Pfullingen. No damage estimates have been provided.
On Immanuel-Kant-Straße in Bad Urach, an 80-year-old woman fell with her bike. In Gomadingen, a 67-year-old woman fell with her e-bike on Talstraße. No injuries were reported in either incident.
The Rottenburg Police Station is seeking witnesses regarding a Hyundai Santa Fe that was reported to have been weaving dangerously. Meanwhile, the Balingen Police Station has been investigating a 14-year-old since Sunday afternoon for suspected use of a vehicle without liability insurance.
Lastly, a traffic accident on Sunday evening disrupted traffic on the Stuttgart Road / L1208 in Tübingen. The scooter rider lost control of his Vespa on a downhill stretch and veered too far to the left onto the grass verge. No injuries were reported in this incident.
