The Hiddesen Local History Association e.V. invites you to attend a public conference titled "Ein Denkmal - Viele Perspektiven" on May 17th, 2022, at the Haus des Gastes in Hiddesen. This conference is a collaborative effort by local historical societies and cultural organisations, including Bürgerverein Hiddesen and regional heritage groups.

The conference aims to delve into diverse topics related to the Hermann's Monument, a subject of scholarly study 150 years after its unveiling. Topics that will be covered include the history, artistic influences, impact on surroundings, tourism, and handling of nationally charged sites.

Food and drinks will be provided by the Hiddesen Local History Association, with a donation requested. Admission to the conference is free.

For further information and registration, you can contact the Hiddesen Local History Association at telephone number 05231 89333 or email address [email protected]. Dr. Baërbel Sunderbrink from the Detmold City Archives can also be reached at telephone number 05231 766 110 or email address stadtarchiv@our website. Another point of contact is Daniela Lang at telephone number 05231 977 201.
